How to accept a user invite and create a new account [xero]

When a new User is added to the Xero Organisation, an invite is sent to the new user's email. If the email used in the invitation is already assigned to a Xero account, once accepted, the organisation is added to the existing Xero account. If the email used in the invitation is not yet assigned to a Xero account, upon accepting the invitation, the new User will also need to set up a password to create a new Xero account.

 

  1. The User invitation is sent to the new User and appears on their inbox

    Note:check the spam folder, if you are expecting a Xero user invitation and this does not appear in your inbox



  2. Open the email invite

  3. Click on the Invite Link

  4. From here you can either [Accept Invite] or decline this invitation
  5. As this email is not currently linked to an existing Xero Account, when the invite is accepted Xero will prompt you to create a new Xero Account

  6. Set up a password for this account
    Note: Xero passwords must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least one number.
  7. Confirm the Terms of Use and Privacy Notice and click on [Create]

    è  The new User is logged into the Xero organisation and now shows as Current
