How to add a user to a client's cbus portal [sop - onboarding]

The CBUS Portal allows the Team Members assigned to the relevant Client to create new Superfund accounts for any Client's Employees who do not have a Superfund or they wish to have a new superfund account with CBUS.

All our Clients from the Building & Construction Industry have CBUS as their Employer Default Superfund. Every time a new Building & Construction Client signs up with Evolution Cloud Accounting a CBUS account is either created from scratch or Users from Evolution Cloud Accounting are added to the existing one.

As we are required to have one separate CBUS account for each Client and one individual access for each User, we structure our CBUS user accounts as follows:

  1. We have 3 ECA User accounts for each CBUS Client's Account. These are:
    • ECA Director (Paolo)
    • ECA Bookkeeping Team Leader
    • ECA assigned Accounts & Compliance Officer
  2. As CBUS only accepts Usernames and these Usernames cannot be repeated across two CBUS Portals for two different Clients, we use a specific User Name denomination which is:
    • ClientID-ECA-StaffInitials (i.e. Paolo's Access for First Grade Trades CBUS Portal is FGT-ECA-PC)

Add a User to a CBUS Portal

  1. Log into CBUS Portal from Practice Protect using the Client's CBUS Username (see above) and password
  2. Enter the 6-digit code from your mobile phone and click on [Confirm]

  3. Click on Employer > Contacts

    è  The Contacts screen opens



  4. Click on [Add a contact >]

    è  The Add a Contact screen opens



  5. Enter the Team Member's details
  6. Select Yes to Assign user access to this contact?
  7. Select Select All to Please select the permissions for this user
  8. Click on [Add a contact >]

    è  A Confirmation message is displayed



  9. Click on [Submit]

    è  An email invite is sent to the User
