How to offboard an employee [employment hero]

When a new staff member leaves the organisation, this Employee should be offboarded in Employment Hero.

Offboard an Employee

  1. Log into Employment Hero and go to Personnel > Employees

    è  The Employees screen opens



  2. Click on Actions > Offboard Employee next to the Terminated Employee

    è  The Offboard Employee confirmation screen opens



  3. Select/Enter the following details:
    • Termination date > Type the Employee's Termination Date
    • Termination Type > Select the correct Termination Reason. This could be any of the following:
      • Voluntary Cessation > This option includes an Employee resignation, retirement, domestic or pressing necessity and abandonment of Employment;
      • Ill Health > An employee resignation due to medical conditions that prevent continuation of Employment, such as illness, medical unfitness or disability; 
      • Deceased > The death of an Employee;
      • Redundancy > An employer-initiated termination of Employment due to a genuine redundancy or approved Early Retirement Scheme;
      • Contract Cessation > The termination of a temporary working relationship due to the contract duration being expired (including seasonal work);
      • Transfer > The shift of an employee to a new ABN under the same grouped Entity.
  4. Click on [Terminate]

    è  An email confirmation is sent from Employment Hero
