Australian Businesses are required to keep proof of purchases for any purchases over $82.50 inclusive of GST. A proof of purchase is a document which contains specific information; this normally comes in a format of a Receipt or a Tax Invoice. Australian Businesses are required to issue tax invoices within 28 days from the date the service has been provided.

Generally, invoices are either printed or emailed, however a number of Businesses also provide online portals where clients can access and download copies of all their invoices.

Optus

Optus is a provider of both phone and internet services. Optus bills clients monthly, invoices are either posted to the client address or emailed, Optus invoices can also be retrieved via their online account portal.


 

  1. From your web browser, go to the Optus My Account Portal at: https://www.optus.com.au/my-account-login?

  2. Log in using your username and password

  3. Click on Bills & payments

  4. Select the [Bill History] Tab
  5. Find the Bill you wish to download and click on Download PDF

    è  The Optus Bill downloads into your download folder
