How to add a new user to dropbox [sop onboarding]

Dropbox is ECA's Cloud Document Management system. Once a new user's email address has been created in Office 365 it can then be invited into Dropbox. 

Add a user to Dropbox

  1. Sign in to Dropbox at https://www.dropbox.com/login

    è  The Dropbox app



  2. Click on the [Admin Console] Tab

    è  The Dropbox Admin Console opens in a new browser tab



  3. Click on [Invite members]

    è  The Invite people to your Dropbox team pop up screen opens



  4. Type the email address of the new staff member and click on [Invite]

Manage Folder Access

  1. Once the new staff member has accepted the Dropbox invite access to various folders can be managed as follows:
    • Folders that have Evolution Cloud Accounting allocated access > No change required, the new user will automatically have access to these folders
    • Folders with limited access:
      • Click on the Share icon

è  The Folder Share screen opens

  • Type the new staff member email address and set the access permission (Can edit or Can view)
  • Click on [Share]
