Australian Businesses are required to keep proof of purchases for any purchases over $82.50 inclusive of GST. A proof of purchase is a document which contains specific information; this normally comes in a format of a Receipt or a Tax Invoice. Australian Businesses are required to issue tax invoices within 28 days from the date the service has been provided.

Generally, invoices are either printed or emailed, however a number of Businesses also provide online portals where clients can access and download copies of all their invoices.

Dick Smith Online

Dick Smith Online is an Online store of electronic and other consumer items in Australia. Businesses who purchase from Dick Smith Online can download copies of their orders from the Dick Smith.com.au website after completing their online purchases. 
Note: Dick Smith also sells product ranges from other Sellers through their website. When this happens, you will need to request a copy of the invoice from the secondary seller through the Dick Smith website. 

1. From your web browser, go to the Dick Smith Online website https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/

2. Log in with your email address and password

3. Select the [My Account] Tab on the top right-hand side of the screen
4. Click on [Order History]

5. Click on Invoice next to the purchased item

6. Click on Print Invoice or [Request Invoice] if the item is coming from a secondary seller through Dick Smith Online
