Two Factor Authentication, also known as 2FA is an extra layer of security that is known as "multi-factor authentication" which requires on top of a username and a password another security option accessible exclusively by the user, such as a physical token or a code provided by an app on their smartphone.

KeyPay includes 3 security options:

  • SMS
  • Email
  • 6-digit Authentication

If you have enabled 6-digit Authentication through your phone using the Google Authenticator app and you have either replaced or lost your phone, you will need to re-set multi-factor authentication on your new phone by logging into KeyPay first using one of the other two security methods.
