How to export a qif/csv file [Westpac]

Westpac Online Banking online banking allows users to export your bank transactions in a variety of file formats.

QIF and CSV files are both compatible file types to import into Xero as historical bank feed transactions. The QIF file format is also compatible with MYOB Essentials and AccountRight Web Browser.

Export the csv/qif file

  1. Log into Westpac Online Banking

    è  The Westpac Online Screen



  2. Click on the Bank Account whose transactions you wish to export

    è  The Account activity Screen opens
  3. Click on More > Exports and reports

    è  The Exports and Reports Screen opens

  4. Click on Export CSV, QBO, QIF, OXF file

    è  The Transaction Exports Screen opens



  5. Select/Enter the following details:
    • Accounts > Select the Bank Account whose transactions you wish to export
    • File format > Select either QIF or CSV
    • Date format > Select: DD/MM/YYYY
  6. Click on [Export]

    è  The transaction file is exported to your Download folder
