A Credit Card Statement is a document that shows all the transactions that have happened in a bank account within a specific time.

Credit Card statements are an essential source document to keep for Taxation purposes but also to complete the Reconciliation process in the Accounting package to ensure the bank balance in the Accounting system matches the bank’s records correctly. This task should be completed monthly.

Statements can be downloaded from the American Express Portal. Contact Amex Customer Services on 132 639 if the Statement option is unavailable in your Portal.

Download Credit Card Statements

1. Log into the American Express Customer Portal

2. Click on [Statement] > Download PDF Statements

3. You can download one of the recent statements (last six months) by clicking on the link under Download Recent Statements
   
   è  The PDF copy of the statement downloads into your local Download folder
   
   
4. Alternatively, you can order any statements older than 6 months by selecting the statement(s) you wish to order and clicking on [Order Now]
   
   è  The PDF copies of the statements will be available for download within 24 hours.
       Note: You can order statements dating back 7 years. These will be available 24 hours after ordering.
       There’s no additional cost for retrieving past statements online.
        Previous statements will be stored for 7 days for you to download anytime. After 7 days, the statements will need to be re-ordered.
